FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Scottsdale, Ariz. - October 4, 2010 -
The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH), an Arizona breast cancer non-profit, offers a unique way to support the breast cancer cause this October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. AIBH is encouraging everyone Valley wide to pay tribute to someone they know, touched by breast cancer, and recognize them with a Pink Honor Light through The Pink Light District.

This unique awareness campaign, The Pink Light District, provides a different way to support the cause and honor individuals all month long. According to President Wendy Farrelli, "Our supporters nationwide are telling their friends and loved ones how much they honor them by recognizing each one with a Pink Light." These pink light bulbs are placed on the Canal Bridge, which links the Scottsdale Waterfront to the Southbridge District in downtown Scottsdale.

"We are getting ready to flip the switch the evening of October 7th to start Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a pink glow," states Farrelli. With each sponsorship, the donor can designate an Honoree to be recognized as they go through the sponsorship process and a Tribute Card is immediately emailed to the Honoree on the donor's behalf. The donor receives a tax receipt letter as the donation is 100% tax deductible. Supporters can sponsor lights throughout the month of October and honorees will continue to be recognized on The Pink Light District Honor Album on the AIBH website.

With tears in her eyes, Farrelli says, "We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Sponsor one pink light to shine brightly as a symbol of strength, courage and hope."

About AIBH:
AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment options to women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer, completely free of charge. Since breast cancer does not discriminate, AIBH offers their services to all women so they have a place to go for a second opinion for treatment recommendations, for education about the disease and for support through this most difficult time.

To sponsor a Pink Honor Light, go to www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org. The Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and can be reached at 480-860-4200 or www.AIBH.org
