FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - August 5, 2009 - The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH), an
Arizona breast cancer non-profit, just announced that
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
is now ready
to receive Pink Honor Light sponsorships for the upcoming
Pink Light District fundraiser,
a unique opportunity for individuals to honor all those touched by breast cancer.
Wendy Farrelli, AIBH President and Co-Chair of this initiative, is proud to announce, "Last year's Pink Light District was
a huge success and we are excited to bring it back once again!" AIBH supporters can now go online to
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
and sponsor a Pink Honor Light for $25 in honor or in memory of someone touched by breast cancer!
With each donation, the donor can designate an Honoree to be recognized as they go
through the purchase process. A Tribute Card is immediately emailed to the Honoree
on the donor's behalf and the donor receives a tax receipt letter as the donation
is 100% tax deductible.
Christine Lessard, AIBH Executive Director looks forward to the evening of October 1st.
"This is the date that Scottsdale will be aglow once again when the pink light bulbs
are illuminated on the Canal Bridge, which links the Scottsdale Waterfront
to the SouthBridge District in downtown Scottsdale at the VIP Light Ceremony,
The Pink Light District."
These Pink Honor Lights will remain lit throughout October
in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
According to Farrelli, "We have also been approached by several individuals
wanting to support this event again this year through a deeper level of giving. Because of
this interest, we are offering an Individual and Corporate Sponsorship
Program that offers many additional benefits to the supporter." With as
little as a $500 donation, donors will receive an invitation to
the VIP Lighting Ceremony taking place this year at Olive & Ivy, located
adjacent to the Canal Bridge. All the benefits offered with
each sponsorship level are described on the website,
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment options to women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer,
completely free of charge. Since
breast cancer does not discriminate, AIBH offers their services to
all women so they have a place to go for a second opinion for
treatment recommendations, for education about the disease and
for support through this most difficult time. "100% of funds
raised through all AIBH fundraising efforts stay in Arizona and
go directly to supporting women who are dealing with a breast
cancer diagnosis," states Lessard.
