FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - January 26, 2009 - The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH), an
Arizona breast cancer non-profit, just announced that Wendy Farrelli, co-owner of Farrell's Cinema Supper Club in Scottsdale,
www.Farrellis.com, has recently been elected President of the organization for a two-year term.
Farrelli joined the board in August of 2004 and previously held the position of Board Secretary
and Marketing Committee Chair, as well as the Co-Chair of their yearly fundraising signature event, The Pink Light District.
According to Farrelli, "I am very honored to be representing AIBH as President these next two years and have quite a
few unique fundraising ideas to present to the board for this upcoming year." Since AIBH offers women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer a second opinion for treatment options,
completely free of charge, fundraising
is crucial to the existence of the organization.
Having a large network of individuals to lean on for fundraising and program
services assistance, Farrelli hopes to reach more women in the Valley who are dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis
and need the support and education offered by AIBH. "With my past experience in event planning and marketing, I have
put together several new programs to get others involved. We have a small governing board, but a large network of women who want to support the cause."
Chris Lessard, AIBH's Executive Director, is excited that Farrelli will be leading the charge these next two years, but is also very
thankful to the outgoing President, Julie Robinson, for all she has contributed to AIBH during her term.
According to Lessard, "We are so grateful to Julie for all she has done for the organization. Julie joined the board in April of
2005 and has been extremely generous in donating her time, her treasures and her talent. We are extremely pleased that Julie
will be staying on the board as an active Board Member going forward."
Robinson is the President of Jani-King Southwest, a commercial cleaning franchise organization, which has also been a
corporate sponsor of AIBH over these past many years.
Farrelli lives in Scottsdale with her three boys and can be reached at
