FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 10, 2008 - The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH), an
Arizona breast cancer non-profit, just announced that Olive & Ivy, a Sam Fox Restaurant, will be the host of
this year's Pink Light District Lighting Ceremony, taking place the evening of October 3rd.
AIBH has brought back the unique Pink Light District initiative, where individuals can pay tribute to someone
touched by breast cancer by sponsoring a pink light bulb that will be placed on the Canal Bridge that links the Scottsdale
Waterfront to the Mix District in downtown Scottsdale.
Julie Robinson, AIBH President, is very excited that, "This year, Olive & Ivy graciously stepped up to offer
their beautiful terrace as the location for the VIP Lighting Ceremony taking place on October 3rd." This is the gathering
where Corporate and Individual Sponsors will witness the "flipping of the switch" to illuminate the thousands of
Pink Honor Lights that are placed on the Canal Bridge, which is adjacent to Olive & Ivy. With as little as a $500 donation,
donors will receive an invitation to the VIP Lighting Ceremony.
According to Robinson, "Many corporate sponsors have also donated at a deeper level of giving, such as APS, So Scottsdale Magazine,
Jani-King Southwest, and Olive & Ivy. Having the support of these wonderful organizations helps us bring attention to the cause so
that more women in Arizona know they have AIBH to lean on when faced with a breast cancer diagnosis."
AIBH supporters can go online now through October 31st at
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
to sponsor a Pink Honor Light for $20 in honor or in memory of someone touched by breast cancer!
With each donation, the donor can designate an Honoree to be recognized as they go
through the donation process. A Tribute Card is immediately emailed to the Honoree
on the donor's behalf and the donor receives a tax receipt letter as the donation
is 100% tax deductible.
AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment options to women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer,
completely free of charge. Since
breast cancer does not discriminate, AIBH offers their services to
all women so they have a place to go for a second opinion for
treatment recommendations, for education about the disease and
for support through this most difficult time. 100% of funds
raised through all AIBH fundraising efforts stay in Arizona and
go directly to supporting women who are dealing with a breast
cancer diagnosis.
The Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and can be
