FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 18, 2007 - The Arizona Institute for
Breast Health (AIBH), an Arizona breast cancer non-profit, is proud
to announce the Premier Sponsors of
The Pink Light District -
Carole and Bob Machiz of Scottsdale.
AIBH is getting ready to make Scottsdale aglow on September 28th
at
The Pink Light District VIP Lighting Ceremony, taking place on
the Canal Bridge, which links the Scottsdale Waterfront to the
Southbridge District in downtown Scottsdale. All month long, breast cancer
supporters have been purchasing Pink Honor Lights in recognition of those
touched by this disease. On the evening of the 28th, Carole and Bob Machiz
will have the exclusive honor of "flipping the switch" to light up the bridge
and make it all happen!
Julie Robinson, AIBH President, is thrilled that Carole and Bob
are sponsoring the event. "As longtime supporters of AIBH, we
couldn't think of another couple we would rather have flip the
switch than Carole and Bob!" Carole and Bob are a dynamic couple
with not only a flair for giving, but a couple who always gives
with compassion and sincerity along the way.
Wendy Farrelli, Co-Chair of this event, states that, "People
nationwide are supporting this fundraiser by purchasing both single Pink Honor Lights as
well as multiple lights. The excitement is building to see Scottsdale aglow." These pink light bulbs
will remain lit throughout October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Farrelli is also excited to report that Arizona Public Service (APS) is
supporting the event as a High Voltage Sponsor and JaniKing Southwest and
US Oncology are participating as Megawatt Sponsors. She encourages others
who wish to donate through a deeper level of giving to do so through AIBH's
Individual and Corporate Sponsorship Program at
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org.
With as little as a $500 donation, donors will receive an invitation to the
VIP Lighting Ceremony the evening of September 28th.
All funds raised from this event go to women who are going through a
breast cancer diagnosis. AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment
options to women who have been diagnosed with this disease,
completely free of charge. Since breast cancer does not discriminate,
AIBH offers their services to all women so they have a place to go for
a second opinion for treatment recommendations, for education about the
disease and for support through this most difficult time.
To purchase a Pink Honor Lights, a Corporate or Individual Sponsorship, go to

Pink Honor Lights for $20 and sponsorships will be available through the
end of October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
