FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - September 6, 2007 - The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH),
an Arizona breast cancer non-profit, is getting ready to flip the switch to
make Scottsdale aglow on September 28th at
The Pink Light District VIP
Lighting Ceremony, taking place on the Canal Bridge, which links the
Scottsdale Waterfront to the Southbridge District in downtown Scottsdale.
This unique fundraiser,
The Pink Light District, provides individuals
the opportunity to purchase pink light bulbs in honor of all those
touched by breast cancer. Julie Robinson, AIBH President, is pleased
to announce that, "Our supporters nationwide are purchasing many
individual pink lights in honor of loved ones to show their love
and gratitude. We are most pleased with the initial response!"
With each donation, the donor can designate an Honoree to be
recognized as they go through the purchase process. A Tribute Card
is immediately emailed to the Honoree on the donor's behalf and the
donor receives a tax receipt letter as the donation is 100% tax deductible.
Wendy Farrelli, Co-Chair of this event, is thrilled that the details
for the event are all coming together. "Scottsdale will be a glow when
the pink light bulbs are illumnated on the Canal Bridge and will remain
lit throughout October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
Individuals wanting to support this event through a deeper level of
giving can do so through their Individual and Corporate Sponsorship
Program that offers many additional benefits to the supporter.
With as little as a $500 donation, donors will receive an
invitation to the VIP Lighting Ceremony the evening of September 28th.
All the benefits offered with each sponsorship level are described
on the website,

AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment options to women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer,
completely free of charge. Since
breast cancer does not discriminate, AIBH offers their services to all
women so they have a place to go for a second opinion for treatment
recommendations, for education about the disease and for support
through this most difficult time. "We are extremely pleased with the support
of the community so far and are very excited to offer this unusual way
to honor breast cancer survivors, supporters, friends and family all
touched by this disease," states to Robinson.
