FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - August 9, 2007 - The Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH), an
Arizona breast cancer non-profit, just announced that
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
is now ready
to receive Pink Honor Light donations for the upcoming Pink Light District fundraiser,
a unique opportunity for individuals to honor all those touched by breast cancer.
Julie Robinson, AIBH President, is proud to announce, "Our supporters can now
go online to The Pink Light District portion of our website and purchase a
Pink Honor Light for $20 in honor or in memory of someone touched by breast cancer!"
With each donation, the donor can designate an Honoree to be recognized as they go
through the purchase process. A Tribute Card is immediately emailed to the Honoree
on the donor's behalf and the donor receives a tax receipt letter as the donation
is 100% tax deductible.
Co-Chair of this event, Wendy Farrelli, looks forward to September 28th.
"This is the day that Scottsdale will be a glow when the pink light bulbs
are illuminated on the Canal Bridge, which links the Scottsdale Waterfront
to the SouthBridge District in downtown Scottsdale at the inaugural
VIP Light Ceremony,
The Pink Light District. These Pink Honor Lights will remain lit throughout October
in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month."
According to Robinson, "We have also been approached by several individuals
wanting to support this event through a deeper level of giving. Because of
this interest, we have put together an Individual and Corporate Sponsorship
Program that offers many additional benefits to the supporter." With as
little as a $500 donation, donors will receive 2 complimentary tickets to
the VIP Lighting Ceremony taking place at the Canal Bridge, which links
the Scottsdale Waterfront with the Mix District Shops, when the Pink Honor
Lights will be illuminated. All the benefits offered with
each sponsorship level are described on the website,
www.ThePinkLightDistrict.org
AIBH provides a second opinion for treatment options to women who have
been diagnosed with breast cancer, completely free of charge. Since
breast cancer does not discriminate, AIBH offers their services to
all women so they have a place to go for a second opinion for
treatment recommendations, for education about the disease and
for support through this most difficult time. "100% of funds
raised through all AIBH fundraising efforts stay in Arizona and
go directly to supporting women who are dealing with a breast
cancer diagnosis," states Robinson.
