Highlights of Previous Fund Raising Events
Fund Raising is an important part of the Institute. Because our services are free,
the money that is raised at different events goes directly to assisting women who
have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
We are very proud of the many events and activities that we have been involved
with these past few years. We are so very grateful to the many supporters of
AIBH - with heartfelt thanks to each and every one of them!
Camelback Desert Schools -"Buck-A-Tee & Lap-A-Thon Day!"
For the second year in a row, Camelback Desert Schools in Paradise Valley
teamed up and organized a most unique event called "Buck-A-Tee & Lap-A-Thon Day" to bring about
awareness for the breast cancer cause. On Wednesday, April 23rd, all students from all grades
participated by paying a dollar (or donating any
amount they wished) to wear any tee shirt of their choice
to school that day all to support breast cancer awareness!
Then the entire school stepped up as they also participated
in a "Lap-A-Thon" to raise money for the cause. Each student asked
close friends and family members to make a per-lap pledge for
every lap they walked or ran around the soccer field. This year, many of the kids
ran over 40 laps, an all time record!
All the teachers wore pink to show their support.
It was a wonderful way for the children at this school to show their support as many of them know
how breast cancer can affect an entire family. Thank you CDS!
