Arizona Institute for Breast Health Elects New President
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, Ariz. - March 28, 2007 - The Arizona Institute for
Breast Health (AIBH) announces the election of a new president,
Julie Robinson, to the Executive Board. Robinson, Co-owner and Vice President
of Jani-King Southwest, has been a board member since 2005 and has a
strong passion toward the breast cancer cause. AIBH offers those
diagnosed with breast cancer the opportunity to receive a second
opinion about their diagnosis and treatment at no charge. Having
had many close friends diagnosed with this disease, Robinson
understands the challenge of navigating through a diagnosis with the
many treatment options available today and the importance of a second
opinion. Offering this service, completely free, requires a strong
fundraising program to support the organization.
"Having been very active with AIBH for the past year and a half, I
am extremely excited to lead our very committed Board of Directors
to new fundraising heights. AIBH is supported completely by donations
and all the money raised stays right in Arizona, going to women
who have been diagnosed with breast cancer."
Having designed creative and successful fund raising events
in the past, Robinson feels that introducing new and unique
events to the public will bring more awareness of the breast
cancer cause and to the organization. "With our strong board
and the many talented women by my side, great things are in
store for AIBH over the next few years," according to Robinson.
There have been other board changes as well. AIBH is excited to
welcome two new board members, Debra Naval of Phoenix and Judy
Young of Ahwatukee. Both women bring years of non-profit board
and organizational experience with them. According to Robinson,
"We know that with their experience and that of the entire board,
2007 will be a very successful year for AIBH and for all women who need us."
Spreading the word about getting a second opinion for treatment
options is the focus of the organization, so they can reach more women,
from all over the valley. It just takes commitment, dedication and
support to get the word out. Robinson feels that AIBH will become
a household word, so the organization is the first place newly
diagnosed women will call when they are faced with breast cancer.
