TOOTHSOME TREATS ON DISPLAY AT SCOTTSDALE GALLERY
Top Chefs Stirring Up Support for AIBH
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scottsdale, ARIZ - June 19, 2006 - Enjoy an afternoon of decadent
deserts, champagne and classical music, when the Larsen Gallery
in Scottsdale hosts its 2nd Annual Summer Soiree benefiting the
Arizona Institute for Breast Health (AIBH). Held Saturday
August 26th, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., the event features
sumptuous treats from some of the city's most popular
pastry chefs in a contemporary art setting.
Proceeds benefit AIBH, a Scottsdale-based, non-profit
group dedicated to improving treatment outcomes for breast
cancer patients. Patients are evaluated, free of charge,
by a team of physicians whose specialties include breast
radiology, breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation
oncology, reconstructive surgery, and breast pathology.
"This is one of the most tantalizing events at our gallery,"
said director Polly Larsen. "We're especially pleased to support
AIBH because of the tremendous work they do right here in our
community."
Among the fabulous chefs and eateries preparing treats are
Cathy Bua of Cathy's Rum Cakes, Tammie Coe of Tammie Coe Cakes,
The Farm at South Mountain and the Arizona Culinary Institute.
Guests at the event will not only satisfy their sweet tooth,
they'll have the opportunity to bid on delectable, food-related
silent auction items.
The event is free and open to the public. The Larsen Gallery
is located in the heart of Scottsdale's downtown art district
at 3705 N. Bishop Lane, just one block west of Scottsdale Rd.
and south of Indian School Road.
